who takes it) …”.

 Poverty:

                           “A
certain level of material deprivation, below which a person suffers physically,
emotionally and socially, poverty also includes low levels of health,
education, poor access to clean water and sanitation, insufficient security and
capacity, and opportunities for improve life.

                            POVERTY
is a denial of options and opportunities, a violation of human dignity. It
means the lack of basic skills to participate effectively in society. It means
not having enough to feed and dress a family, not have a school or a clinic
where to go, not have the land to grow or work to earn a living, not having
access to credit.

Poverty
in Pakistan:

                         Poverty
in Pakistan has been drastically reduced, independent agencies have supported
estimates of a significant drop in statistics for fiscal year 2007-08, when it
is estimated that 17.2% of the total population lived below the threshold of
poverty. poverty, poverty. The downward trend in poverty observed in the
country during the 1970s and 1980s was reversed in the 1990s due to federal
policies and rampant corruption.

                      This
phenomenon has been called the “bomb of poverty”. In 2001, the
government received help from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to prepare
the poverty reduction strategy paper which suggests guidelines to reduce
poverty in the country. According to a report presented by the Ministry of
Planning and Development of the Pakistan National Assembly, about 29.5% of Pakistanis
lived below the poverty line, which translates into 55 million people.

Poverty cycle:

                       Here
is a cycle of poverty. If a family is poor, their children grow up in a poor
environment. They will not fight for good opportunities. If any of them
receives instructions. There are less chances of finding a job. It turns out
that he could not escape from this environment and his new family grows back in
a poor environment. This cycle is repeated again and again and it becomes
difficult for a poor man to get rid of poverty.

 Causes of poverty:

                         Some
causes of poverty are the changing trends of a country’s economy, the lack of
education, the high divorce rate that causes the feminization of poverty, a
culture of poverty, overpopulation, epidemics of diseases such as AIDS and
malaria and environmental problems such as lack of rain and others.

In California, it reduced poverty in
the elderly by creating a social security program. Nearly 50 percent of the
people in the world today live on less than $ 2.50 per day.

                              The
poverty rate among the elderly in the United States is 9 percent since 2010. In
1960, the official poverty rate among the elderly was 35 percent. The
Netherlands offers a universal pension and leads the world with a poverty rate
of 1.7 percent among the elderly. Extreme poverty can affect life expectancy
and lack of money through some type of pension system increases the poverty
rate among older people throughout the world. Issues such as hunger, disease
and thirst are all causes and effects of poverty.

         Extreme
weather can be a cause of poverty in many countries. Drought, rain and floods
are some of the main causes of poverty according to the climate. When natural
disasters do not capture the attention of the media, raising money becomes more
difficult. This gets worse when governments spend money on capital instead of
the poorest areas that need it the most.

The following are some other causes:Ø Natural disasters:Ø FeudalismØ Lack of governmentØ Poor environmentØ Lack of poor vision and bad parentingØ Lack of educationØ Lack of resourcesØ Planning missingØ Without family supportØ Bad character and bad moralsØ Egoism and greedØ Corruption Effects:                     The effects of poverty are serious. Children who grow up in poverty suffer from more persistent, frequent and severe health problems than children who grow up in better financial circumstances.Ø Many children born into poverty are underweight, which is associated with many preventable mental and physical disabilities. Not only are these poor children more likely to be irritable or ill, but they are also more likely to die before their first birthday.Ø Children who have grown up in poverty tend to lose school more frequently due to illness. These children also have a much higher accident rate than other children and are twice as likely to have impaired vision and hearing, iron deficiency anemia and higher blood lead levels than normal. affect brain function                          Stress levels in the family have also been linked to economic circumstances. Studies conducted during economic recessions indicate that job losses and subsequent poverty are associated with violence in families, including the abuse of children and the elderly. Poor families experience much more stress than middle-class families. In addition to financial uncertainty, these families are more likely to be exposed to a series of negative and “unfortunate” events, which include illness, depression, eviction, job losses, criminal victimization and family death. Parents who live in times of economic difficulty can become overly punitive and irregular, issue claims backed by insults, threats and corporal punishment. Following are some other effects: Ø Bad healthØ Hunger and painØ CrimeØ Drug abuseØ IlliteracyØ TerrorismØ Depression Solutions to overcome poverty:                                The best way to get out of poverty is a well-paid job. To return to employment levels before the recession, we need to create 5.6 million new jobs. However, at the current rate, we will not arrive until July 2018. To increase employment growth, the federal government should invest in strategies to create jobs, such as rebuilding our infrastructure; develop renewable energy sources; renovation of abandoned houses; and make other common sense investments that create jobs, revitalize neighborhoods and increase our national economy. We must also build on proven models of subsidized employment to help the long-term unemployed and other disadvantaged workers return to the labor market.                               In the late 1960s, a full-time worker earning the minimum wage could take a family of three from poverty. If the minimum wage at that time was indexed to inflation, today it would be $ 10.86 per hour, compared to the current federal minimum wage of $ 7.25 per hour.                                                        One of the most effective tools against poverty in our country, the Earned Income Tax Credit, or EITC, has helped more than 6.5 million Americans, including 3.3 million children, to avoid poverty in 2012. It is also an investment that will pay long-term. term dividends. Children who receive EITC are more likely to graduate and have more earnings as adults. However, childless workers lose much of the benefit, since the maximum EITC for these workers is less than one tenth that is given to workers with two children.

With full-time workers earning only 78 cents for every $ 1 of men
earned, steps must be taken to secure the same salary for the same job. Closing
the gender pay gap would reduce half the poverty of working women and their families
and add nearly half a billion dollars to the nation’s gross domestic product.
Going to the Wage Equality Act to consider employers responsible for
discriminatory wage practices would be a critical first step

The lack of high quality and affordable daytime
services is an important obstacle to reaching the middle class. In fact, a year
of childcare for a child costs more than a year of enrollment in most state
four-year colleges. On average, poor families who pay from their own pockets to
care for their children spend a third of their income just to be able to work.
In addition, federal child custody reaches only one in six eligible children.

The following are some other solutions:

Ø Use of money in a disciplined manner

Ø Stop to sexual discrimination

Ø Maintain the Zakat system

Ø To overcome corruption

Ø Division of agricultural land

Ø Avoid materialism

Ø Live as close to a budget as possible and
resist

Ø Better government policies

Ø Good salaries

Ø Domestic warranty, health care, food and
textile education

Ø The guarantee of pure water and provide all the
best rights

Ø Create a reserve for the unemployment fund

Conclusion:

                    Poverty
exists in all countries and in all environments. It has some causes, effects
but also solutions. So you could say that poverty can be eliminated. If people
and the government are willing to eliminate poverty, then it is possible to
eliminate it. Our religion also demands that the poor be cared for. There is a
better way to help the poor in Islam and this is Zakat’s way
